The uptight Jewish financial director of a magnificent baroque building is suddenly forced to persuade his hot-headed young boss to let himself be circumcised.

At the age of thirteen, Monette is already forced to realize that money plays an important role in life. As a result of the economic crisis, her father Frank becomes unemployed from one day to the next. This has unexpected consequences for the whole family. They have to say goodbye to their detached family home and move into a much smaller apartment. In contrast to her sister, who finds the new circumstances very difficult, Monette is a modest girl. What really bothers her, however, is that there are suddenly a lot of arguments in the family, almost always about money, and mutual recriminations. Monette doesn't want her family to suffer and thinks back and forth about what she could do to get money. In the end, she comes up with the abstruse idea of auctioning off her virginity to the highest bidder on the internet.

However, the company ends up in court because of an illegal commercial that violated the anti-discrimination law. The managing partner Roman Hertz is sentenced to 100 hours of community service. The satirical film is about the liquidation of a sewing machine combine by the Treuhandanstalt (THA) in the town of Altenburg in Thuringia. The company is ailing. The (corrupt) officer in charge at the THA wants to close the company and give the property to the West German entrepreneur Theo Krautinger for just one Deutschmark. Plant manager Blacher and his accountant Bienlein thwart this plan by presenting a Korean investor. This investor is in fact the Vietnamese temporary worker Hua ... The film was partly shot on the premises of the THA.

While getting a beer in the police canteen, Docker is spied on by the BKA for a special secret mission: an attack is planned on an Indian maharajah during his visit to Germany. In the operation 'Falscher Hase' (False Rabbit), Docker is to serve as convincing personal protection. Shortly afterwards, he finds himself disguised as a double in an ambassador's limousine - opposite him is the maharajah's little prince and his beautiful Italian chaperone Selinda, with whom he promptly falls in love. When he brags to his colleague Dretzke about the whole affair, it leads to a chain of dramatic but also wonderfully funny events in which the model boys find themselves in dire need of an explanation.
